Anna Calix was pursuing her master’s degree in public health and working in perinatal care to improve outcomes for moms and babies when her first child was stillborn on his due date. Her profession became her passion, and she founded a nonprofit, Gifts from Liam, aimed at helping babies thrive in pregnancy and beyond by increasing access to life-saving education and resources.

In this episode, Anna shares how some of her life changing experiences led her to pursue a career in public health and how she has dedicated the past few years in starting and managing a non-profit organization while balancing other jobs and most recently working as a medical writer.
